My One Good Reason to Attend SemCon 2009

The 2009 Edition of the Search Engine Marketing Conference (SemCon) will be held on October 1 & 2, 2009 at the Grand Ballrom of the Hotel Intercontinental in Makati City.

Yes, the conference is rich with Search Engine Goodie-ness-- Who wouldn't want to hear Marc Macalua, Abe Olandres, Anton Diaz, Benj Arriola, and Alfredo Palconit, Jr. (just to mention a few) talk about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Link Building, Keyword Research, Micro-blogging (there's a talk titled "Twisted Twitter Tactics"), and Brand-building on the web?

But for me, one good reason to attend the SemCon 2009 is to provide moral support to friends and peers in the industry who are part of the event.


The good thing is you can attend the conference for free: Abe Olandres is running a blog contest and three bloggers will be given free passes (each worth PhP 9,500) to the event. Ain't that great? But you better hurry because the deadline for joining is tomorrow, Septermber 15, 2009.
